Water, Water, Everywhere:
(Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn, in Cancer; Mars and Uranus in Pisces: It's about feelings, stupid)

:: Out With The Old.
Since Saturn's ingress into Cancer on June 4 and the Summer Solstice on June 21, an unusually high number of American icons in politics and entertainment have left us: Strom Thurmond, Katherine Hepburn, Buddy Ebsen, Barry White, and Buddy Hackett each held a rare and special place in the American psyche and heart.

While it's hard to shed too many tears for the ex-racist Sagittarian Senator Strom Thurmond, who lived to see 100, we very much mourned the loss of Taurus Katharine Hepburn, a true national treasure. There is so much to say about her, and I sense that shortly, we will be stunned as some very private details about her life with Spencer Tracy emerge. These revelations may include a closely guarded secret about their love child, a well-known news correspondent. Stay tuned!

I adored Aries Buddy Ebsen (April 2 1908); I fell in love with him as a child watching the 1936 classic, 'Captain January', when he charmed as Shirley Temple's nautical dancing partner. They tapped their hearts out while singing 'At The Codfish Ball.'

Virgos Buddy Hackett and Musician Extraordinaire Barry White also left us this week. Hackett would have been 79 on August 30th, but Barry White's death at age 58, just before his 2nd Saturn Return is especially sad. (I always said Virgos were supremely Sexy!) He had a stellium in Virgo, with the sun conjunct Chiron, suggesting that his rhythmic sexual crooning served as a lower-chakra healing chant for so many.

And so this is how it is with so many planets in water.

We feel, we cry, we reminisce, and we realize how much we all mean to one another.

:: Bijani Twins of Iran Die After Surgery
The Bijani twins, born on Jan 17, 1974 were Capricorns, with their ruling planet, Saturn, at 29 Gemini. Saturn rules Karma, Gemini rules twins. They completed their first Saturn return, and perhaps the karma was in fact completed between them.

But did they have to die? Did the ambitious team of surgeons misguide them? The diagram of their fused heads featured on the news highlighted that determined vein surrounding them:

The vein spoke to me: It was not going to let go.
"He" was not willing to be removed from its 'post' as unifier of the two.

According to Friday's report on ABC's Nightline, Dr. Carlson, chief of the surgical team, wanted to halt the surgery midway to study the situation before continuing, but permission to do so was withheld from the twins' family.

I wish they had consulted the stars.

:: Century Old Pepsi Slogan Lives Up to its Promise: As Miracles Coincide with Eclipse Cycle
"In 1898, Caleb D. Bradham, a New Bern, North Carolina pharmacist created Pepsi Cola, in imitation of Coca Cola. Pepsi spent a lot of money on an advertising campaign in China with the slogan 'Pepsi gives you life' - the only problem was they got the translation a little bit off - the translation came out: "Pepsi brings your ancestors back from the grave."

... AND This Week..... 2 Mystical 'Pepsi-Returns' :

:: "To Whoever Finds This Letter"
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (July 11) - Almost five years to the day that Roger Clay died in a motorcycle accident, his parents got one last message from him - a sun-scorched note he had stuffed in a bottle as a child and set adrift in 1984.

A man found the bottle in a St. Petersburg canal on the Fourth of July and returned it this week to Clay's mother.

"I dread this time of year every year. It's the worst," Lisa Ferguson told the St. Petersburg Times for Thursday's editions. "But now I have something wonderful to think about.''

Clay died July 10, 1998, nine days after his 21st birthday.

He had been 7 years old and on vacation when he tossed the tape-sealed Pepsi bottle into the Gulf of Mexico from a pier in Clearwater, just north of St. Petersburg.

"To whoever finds this letter please write me a letter and let me know,'' the note said in shaky pencil. The note included his address in Fairfield, Ohio, and the date: Dec. 27, 1984.

When the bottle turned up behind Don Smith's home on Tampa Bay, on the opposite side of the Pinellas County peninsula, Smith set out to find the boy. With the Times' help, he learned of Clay's death.

:: COMA MAN AWAKES AFTER 19 YEARS:
First Words? 'Mom' then 'Pepsi'
ARKANSAS (July 9, 2003)(AP) - The words began tumbling out at first, just a few nouns and eventually a torrent of phrases.

Terry Wallis, who had been in a coma since a 1984 car accident, regained consciousness last month to the surprise of doctors and the delight of his family, including his mother, who heard his first word in 19 years.

"He started out with 'Mom' and surprised her and then it was 'Pepsi' and then it was 'milk.' And now it's anything he wants to say," Stone County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center social director Alesha Badgley said Tuesday.

Both events occured in 1984, and the resolution in 2003. The magic number = 19 years. (1984 + 19= 2003). (Is that what's meant by the 'Pepsi Generation'?)

Happy nodal return, or should we say "Pepsi Return"? Astrologers know that one of the cycles for reoccurences is 19 years. That's roughly the cycle of the nodes of the moon, the cycle of eclipses.
