As
the world prepares to celebrate Love on Valentine's Day (good luck
with Venus Square Saturn), I am mulling over President's Day and
the sad state of affairs that is our venal administration:
In
the late 18th century, John Adams, the man who would become the
second President of the US wrote: "There is nothing I dread
so much as the division of the Republic into two great parties,
each under its leader... This, in my humble opinion, is to be feared
as the greatest political evil under our Constitution."
Ah,
the world of duality.
Today,
more than 200 years later, we accept this system of duality almost
without question.
And
as we look at the candidates in this years' Presidential race, the
title of author Richard Ben Cramer's critically acclaimed best seller
comes to mind: "What it Takes: The Way to the Whitehouse",
prompts an analysis of the astrological charts of past presidents
in search of signs, patterns and unifying themes.
Astrologically,
what DOES it take to be President of the United States?
Is
there a Sun Sign more popular than another, relatedness to the July
4th 1776 horoscope of the US, or other planetary placements and
aspects that consistently lead the native to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
The
answer is: Yes, all of the above.
You
are likely to be President if you are a Cancerian, Scorpio, Aquarian,
or Pisces.
It
helps to have the Moon in Capricorn, Mercury in Scorpio, and Mars
in either Leo or Scorpio.
But
I am most enamored of the Libra candidate, original thinker Dennis
Kucinich, the Vegan "New Ager" who in my opinion has it
more together than all of the others put together.

Dennis
Kucinich: Oct 8 1946 @ 5:53 PM Cleveland, Ohio
A
Libra (Carter, Eisenhower) with Aries Rising, Moon in Pisces and
4 planets in Scorpio.
Dennis
Kucinich, who by way of Shirley MacLaine studied with Chris Griscom
at The Light Institute in New Mexico is an unlikely President. His
message embodies hopeful evidence of the long awaited "Paradigm
Shift." Who else but an inventive Libra contrarian would propose
a Department of Peace?
Recently,
he said: "The interchangeability of matter and spirit means
the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes
the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self. The energy
of the stars becomes us. We become the energy of the stars. Stardust
and spirit unite and we begin: One with the universe. Whole and
holy." How neat that he's in the mix:
From
James Rado ("Hair"):
"While the late night comics continue to lampoon Howard Dean's
authentic enthusiasm at the Iowa caucus, and poke fun at Kucinich's
proposed Dept. of Peace, we should be grateful for their true heroism.
Men
like Dean and Kucinich are putting their unvarnished truth out there,
making them easy targets for an establishment which trembles and
then jumps on any show of raw enthusiasm".
America
is supposed to be the place on earth where diversity and originality
are encouraged and celebrated.
Maybe
just not in an election year.
