About a week ago, UFO expert Frank Chille sent me a link to an article in US News and World Report on the invention of an invisibility cloak.
With the exception of the NY Times, had this article on the successful completion of an invisibilty cloak appeared anywhere else, it would have been laughed off as a prank. But astrologically, it sure does make sense.
When I first looked at the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction this year, I wondered about the element of fantasy implied and mentioned some wild possibilities, but this takes the cake! Imagine what the powers that be are planning with this one. Whoever uses it better keep the ringer of their cell phone off, lest they blow their cover, and not even try to be invisible this weekend, what with the station of Saturn at hand.
Saturn, at just under 15 degrees of Virgo, stations and turns direct late on Saturday night, and though Mercury retro will go on for another two weeks, there should be some lightening up of the heaviness and sluggish energy that has characterized the past couple of weeks. And maybe, just maybe there will be some genuine movement on universal health care.
And completing this week's Jupiter-Neptune story, thanks to Mark Seltman for a list of real life Star Trek devices. And to Jay Fletcher for this article on a real life BLOB, a life-size chemical gel that walks like an inch-worm.
Was the President teasing astrologers or has “O” been ‘briefed’ by anteam of unamed stargazers on the Jupiter-Neptune-Chiron Conjunction in Aquarius? This combo sure sets the stage for healing the masses on a large scale. Either way, Obama has pledged his commitment to legislation for a universal health care policy in the US by July 31st, which is five days before his 48th birthday.

Obama: Stars Aligned
Yes, Saturn in Virgo has put the focus on health, the medical-industrial complex, and labor issues. There seems to a plethora shows about the mysteries of the human body such as “I Didn’t Know I was Pregnant” to reality shows that invite us to glare as people we’ve come to know die “live” on TV. I could just see it now, the next big thing: “Dying Live!”

Funny? Hardly. Check out Farrah Fawcett’s TV Swan Song tonight. But first read Friday’s EXCELLENT edition Planet Waves Astrology News, which takes up an investigative angle on the Farrah Fawcett TV special. Titled "What Got Farrah?" the lead article by Eric Francis looks at how those most responsible for cancer currently profit the most from it. Francis explores Farrah's intriguing astrological chart in his special ‘Planet Waves’ way.
Though Uranus won't enter Aries until May 27, 2010, change is in the wind. Check out this encouraging “Power to the People’ story from DemocracyNow.org: Chicago’s Republic Window and Floor workers have won a court battle & settlement that has allowed them to reopen the factory, which had been closed since December, under new management- theirs! And this: Fire the boss! Naomi Klein & Avi Lewis on “The Worker Control Solution from Buenos Aires to Chicago”. GREAT STUFF!

ARIES: The most important thing to keep in mind during the oft frustrating days ahead, is that you will have more than one chance to get your message across before Summer begins. And waiting for a more conducive moment will allow you to have that much more of an impact. Your perceptions and thoughts will shift as will your loyalties. In the meantime, focus your energy on getting into better physical shape: the more time in the gym or on the track and the less on Twitter (or FB), the better.
TAURUS: Your ever-present impenetrable Taurean strength and Herculean resistance to the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune are not up to snuff of late, and you’re not sure why. It’s not just you: We’re ALL being tested now- big time. But in your case, there’s so much going on in the ‘inner planes’ of your being, and your attention is being siphoned off into areas that you can’t quite see, touch, taste, feel or smell. Perhaps the lesson of May 2009, is to learn a little more about those inner realms (your subconscious mind) and to get that part of yourself onboard with the rest of you. By June, it’ll be a whole other story.
GEMINI: If it feels like part of you is in one place and the other part of you is across the street (or on a flight to Madagascar), you’re not nuts, nor is it entirely your fault. The Sun and Mercury are in the ‘below the radar’ sector of you horoscope (your 12th house), challenged by Jupiter and Neptune in your 9th house of philosophy, religion, and foreign affairs. For the time being, don’t expect to be 100% sure of what you believe or even what you stand for. And as this re-evaluation is going on, hold onto your innermost thoughts and share the ‘process’ with only your most trustworthy people.
CANCER: Your sense of security is shakier than usual (a sign of the times). And as are many in similar boats, you’re redefining what security really means for you. Make no important financial decisions this week, and for the time being, discuss as little as possible along those lines- especially in large groups (where the walls invariably have ears). Your best bet is to listen to the experiences of others and to gather as much information as possible. The next month is all about biding your time on a personal level, but making a great show of it career-wise, where surprising strides can be made.
LEO: What you perceive as either a battle of wills or a display of competitive one-upmanship is probably nothing more than a case of miscommunication. It’s all around us now. People are focused on their own fears and dramas and are only listening half-way. So rather than force a confrontation, or a financial negotiation, which will go nowhere this minute, know that will a little effort and some patience the cooperation you need will fall into place.
VIRGO: Saturn, the planet of limitation is at a standstill in your sign, and so might you be you. So stop, take a deep breath, and give yourself permission to move at a snail’s pace- if at all. And while you feel like a statue in the Wax Museum, use this time to draw back and observe those who are observing you. But no matter what you do, whenever you’re in a crowd, take pains to protect your immunity- especially at work. You, more than any other sign of the zodiac, are vulnerable to those nasty airborne and water-borne germs we’ve been hearing about.
LIBRA: The brain-freeze you’ve experienced of late is nothing more than your over-active cerebellum asking for a vacation. If going away isn’t an option, at the very least, take up meditating and try to be silent for one day a week. There’s a tremendous amount of pressure on you now to keep up a very demanding social schedule while a good part of you is very inner-directed. For now, the inside story is the one that’s more important.
SCORPIO: Do yourself a favor, and don’t get into any scuffles with a friend or group pf pals that are less available than usual. The standstill of stern Saturn in your 11th house is a tip off that one or more of your nearest and dearest is running on empty. Your compassion and patience will be so appreciated. On another somewhat related front, there may be a ‘do-over’ conversation necessary between you and a partner. As tough as it may be, cop to your end of the problem
SAGITTARIUS: The standstill of Saturn in your career house may manifest as the last hurrah of an unyielding boss, or the end of a cycle of frustration where none of your wonderful (and useful) ideas have been taken seriously or implemented. And while the ‘thaw’ may take some more time to fully get underway, you should see the possibility of a new day and a new dawn in the offing. If a partner or spouse is not on the same page as you, it’s only temporary. If a housekeeper or temp from your past can be of help, give ‘em a call.
CAPRICORN: Legal issues that have stalled for months are about to come up on the docket and be resolved once and for all: Make absolutely sure that all of your paper work is ready and in order. And while you’re tending to those annoying details, a romantic interest from your past may have some invaluable insight and a better memory than you do about a crucial event. Be open to a conversation with him or her.
AQUARIUS: As Saturn (your co-ruler) stations direct in your 8th house of shared resources, a banker, investment firm, or credit union may be unavailable or unresponsive for a few days. Don’t push it, when thing move forward, you’ll be glad that you didn’t force the issue before the time was right. Pay attention to details in and around the home and make sure that the foundation (literal and figurative) is in good shape. Planting something in your garden, on your terrace or indoors as a symbolic gesture, will heal that which didn’t grow for you in the past. It’s one way to ask the universe to make it happen this time.
PISCES: A spouse, significant other or BFF may be compromised and in no mood to move forward. And that being the case, let them be where they’re at and let them know that you’re available for support. And as Mercury retrogrades back into your 3rd house of communication, you may need to go over financials with a neighbor or a sibling. Be sure to write down everything that is said so as to not allow your heightened distractibility to get the better of you.
